Safe Use of Candles

With candles, appropriate handling is crucial for safe burning behaviour. Below we explain the pictograms most frequently found on candle packagings.

	Never leave a burning candle unattended.
	Burn candles out of the reach of children and pets.
	Do not place burning candles on or near anything that can catch fire.
	Always place candles in suitable holders.
	Protect candles from draughts, otherwise they might produce soot, burn unevenly, and drip.
	Never place candles too close to each other, leave sufficient distance between candles.
	Flames should be snuffed out. Do not blow out candles.
	Never use liquids to extinguish candles.
	Do not move burning candles as this will cause liquid wax to drip.
	Do not place candles near a source of heat.
